Miranda Phillips and her daughter were at Appleton’s Touch a Truck event in Pierce Park when she captured this image she calls “Proud.”

“My daughter is four and we often talk about what she wants to be when she grows up,” Phillips says. “She has often questioned why there aren’t more female officers in the line of duty and so when we saw the SWAT vehicle and officers, she wanted to meet them… I always drive home that she can be whatever it is she wants to be when she grows up, even if it’s mostly “boys” that choose that career path… her showing off her muscles was unprompted and I think it’s amazing!”
