FREELANCE GRAPHIC DESIGNERS

We are looking to establish a pool of talented designers for the layout and design of annual publications, occasional magazine inserts and various ads, as well as a potential backup, if needed, for our monthly magazine.

ACCOUNT EXECUTIVES

At Fox Cities Magazine (FCM), we’ve been connecting community members and businesses throughout Northeast Wisconsin for 40 years. An account executive will continue to help us grow our brand and portfolio, which includes Fox Cities Magazine, Ovation, Dining Guide, Fox Cities City Guide, and This is Oshkosh.

The successful candidate will possess outstanding interpersonal skills and creative problem-solving abilities. Primary responsibilities include selling print and digital advertising through client meetings, calls, presentations and business events across the region; networking with top professionals and decision-makers to help them meet their goals and bring their brand messaging to life. Your work at FCM will strengthen our region’s overall business community, and help you build long-lasting, rewarding relationships.

INTERNSHIPS

Fox Cities Magazine offers internships in our editorial department, providing students with experience in the day-to-day operations of a monthly publication. Balancing a variety of responsibilities, intern duties run the gamut from completing writing assignments to updating the many facets of foxcitiesmagazine.com. Interns attend events, interview local leaders, write blog posts and craft meaningful stories about life in the Fox Cities. Interns do not fetch coffee.

There are ample writing opportunities available on topics such as the arts scene, dining trends, home, health and personality profiles. FOX CITIES Magazine is dedicated to equipping editorial interns with real life experience; it matters to us that you leave our company with materials for your portfolio.

We offer flexible scheduling within the 9-5 time frame. Interns are expected to commit to roughly 10 hours per week, whether in office or remote. The internship is unpaid, but students can choose to pursue college credit as an option.

Duties:

As an intern, you will:

Assist with story research
Update foxcitiesmagazine.com
Proofread and fact-check copy for print and online
Set up and conduct interviews with sources
Write pullout pieces, Artist Spotlights and features
Participate in editorial planning meetings

Qualifications:

Must be a sophomore, junior or senior studying Journalism or English with previous print and online writing experience preferred.

Candidates should be enthusiastic and motivated idea generators who are willing to learn, able to meet deadlines and flexible.
