Ripon Summer Concert Series

June 7 through September 6

From country to classic rock, the free Ripon Summer Concert Series showcases a variety of musical genres for music lovers of all ages. A variety of beverages are available and participants are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets to sit on. For a concert schedule visit riponmainst.com. Fridays, 7-10pm. Cookie Daze

August 3

The festival that began as a tribute to Ripon baking the World’s Largest Cookie in 1992 returns with live entertainment, kids activities and food. At this family-friendly festival, young festival goers anticipate the “cookie drop” where they wait beneath the fire department’s tallest ladder truck, eager for thousands of cookies to literally drop from the sky. 10am-1:30pm. Septemberfest

September 21

This fall festival features the Watson Street Car Show where car collectors in 15 different classes showcase their vehicles, ranging from antique to late-model trucks. The pet parade, benefiting Green Lake Area Animal Shelter, is another must-see event with contests for best costume, best pet trick, most unusual pet and more. 9am-4pm. Downtown Ripon. 748-7466.

Holiday WineWalk

November 1

During the event, businesses will become “tasting rooms” where attendees may sample different wines throughout the evening. The event will feature a selection of wines from Chile, Argentina, Italy, Spain, South Africa and Australia, as well as California, Florida and Wisconsin, including local favorite Vines & Rushes Winery. 5:30-8:30pm. Christmas in the Village

November 8-9

A favorite of local residents and visitors alike, Christmas in the Village is like a scene out of an old-time movie with downtown decorations, extended store hours, carolers and musical groups entertaining the crowd, free cider and cookies, and, of course, Santa Claus! Dickens of a Christmas

December 6-8

Experience the Victorian era at Dickens of a Christmas in Ripon’s historic district when storefronts are staged with live characters depicting old time settings, visitors can breakfast with Santa and tour holiday homes.
