Worth the Drive: Marinette County

Shopping

Retail Therapy

It’s not just lip service — businesses in the city of Marinette really do work together, says Jenny Knox, owner of The Goose and Gander Finery.

“I cannot say enough about how amazing Marinette is,” she says. “They’re so devoted to shopping local and supporting local whenever they can. We have lots of cute little shops to stop at: a cute little florist place, home decor, a couple of boutiques and lots of great restaurants.”

This feeling of togetherness also extends beyond the city limits. Throughout the county, you’ll find business owners happy to give you references for whatever you’re looking for, be it clothing, gifts, antiques, or even the best place for a quick burger while you’re getting in your shopping cardio.

On a Whim, Crivitz

On A Whim is a premiere wine shop in Crivitz, offering a large selection of imported and domestic wines. They are also home to quality gift options, including entertainment and home decor, apparel and jewelry, personal care products for men and women, and unique occasion cards.

T-Bells Closet, Wausaukee

T-Bells Closet is a recently opened women’s clothing and accessories boutique in Wausaukee. They have everything you need to complete your vacation wardrobe, whether it’s charming dresses, purses, hats, tops, and pants and capris, or you’re in need of activewear, swimwear and swimsuit covers.

The Goose & Gander Finery, Marinette

If you’re looking for the latest in boutique apparel — adorable tops, fun dresses and fashion-forward bottoms — along with laid-back casual wear perfect for ’round the campfire, The Goose & Gander Finery is worth the stop while in Marinette. They also have a section devoted to baby gifts and clothing, as well as other great gift ideas for family and friends. For a souvenir with a philanthropic twist, check out the Sweet Grace candle collection they carry, says Knox. “We have a program that’s called, ‘Light a candle, feed a child,’” explains Knox. “With every [candle] purchase, they’re helping to feed meals to kids overseas who don’t have meals otherwise. With us carrying the line, we’ve been able to provide over 1,000 days worth of meals to kids.”
