Bountiful Breakfasts

The Classics, Done Right

Breakfast is often referenced as the most important meal of the day, and for good reason. It replenishes your supply of glucose to boost your energy levels and alertness for the day, and offers essential nutrients for health.

It’s also a fun reason to get out of the house and into one of the many diners—with a twist—int the Fox Cities serving up the classics: eggs, bacon, pancakes and more.

Patty & Pablo’s: A Family Restaurant, Kaukauna

Noé Garcia, part-owner along with sister Fatima and dad Pablo

A “breakfast and lunch restaurant focused on serving made from scratch American and Mexican classics,” Patty & Pablo’s serves dishes the Garcia family grew up eating and wanted to share with their guests.

Most popular menu items:
Chilaquiles and Build-Your-Own Omelette. People love the tangy spice of the Salsa Verde on the Chilaquiles, and especially the flavorful beans. On the omelette our guests love the choice to make their own culinary creation with a great selection of fillings.

Specialty coffee/alcoholic beverages:
We offer espresso drinks, Mexican soda which is made with real cane sugar, and our popular fresh squeezed orange juice that we make each morning.

Breakfast specials:
Not at this time, but we do have a wide variety of weekly food specials, recent hits have been the Carne Asada Fries, and our Tamales that we make most weekends.

Fun facts:
Our staples are all made from scratch: the batter for pancakes and waffles, the cajeta, which is a milk caramel that is very popular in Mexico, all of our salsas, our Horchata for our super popular Horchata Latte, etc. People really notice the difference, which always makes me super proud of what we serve when I hear and see the amazing reviews that we get.

Sweetberry’s Family Restaurant, Kaukauna

Burim Ramadani, owner

New on the scene, Sweetberry’s Family Restaurant (formerly Landreman’s), is a family-operated traditional family diner with 28+ years of experience in providing exceptional service and quality food to customers.

“From what I see in the first month, we didn’t buy just a business,” Ramadani says. “We bought a piece of the community where customers know each other by name and they quite often even sit down for a meal together without having it planned before they meet at our place. Someone called it a cornerstone of our community where people have celebrated weddings, birthdays, newborns etc. It’s a historic place for our community.”

Most popular menu items:
Baked French Toast, Stuffed French Toast, omelets customized per customers’ desire, different breakfast combos, etc. Without modesty, I claim that we have the best eggs supplier and the eggs that we serve are of the highest quality.

Specialty coffee/alcoholic beverages:
High quality coffee.

Fun facts:
We learned the literal meaning of the word breakfast from one of our regular customers, which is break the feast after a long night of hunger,” Ramadani relays. “We are new in the area and the community accepted us with arms wide open… knowing that we are part of such a great, loving, caring community makes us believe that this was the right decision for our family.

“The Landreman’s and the previous owners (Mark and Tammi) have done an amazing job of holding our hands in the first month, and we want to thank them for all of their support and for the amazing culture they built in the business we bought, which makes our job a lot easier. We are grateful for our managers, Kevin and Emily, as well as all of the staff members who go above and beyond to provide excellent quality food and exceptional service to our customers.”

Breakfast specials:
Various breakfast specials are offered every day until 10:30 a.m. Kids eat free Monday – Thursday; free birthday meals; free ice cream for every kids’ meal; veterans eat free on Memorial and Veterans Day.

WeatherVane Restaurant, Menasha

Melanie DuFrane, general manager and part-owner

Described as “Menasha’s community breakfast and lunch gathering spot,” WeatherVane’s mission statement has always been to provide a warm, personable dining experience while serving superior quality breakfasts and lunches at reasonable prices.

“We have an amazing and talented team of 28, who each play a vital role every day in helping us achieve greatness,” DuFrane says.

Most popular menu items:

Seasonal-Stuffed French Toast (right now we have S’mores-Stuffed), Potato Pancakes and lastly for breakfast I would say our WeatherVane or Sundance Egg Scrambler.

What sets our dishes apart from other places, is the quality of the ingredients that goes into each dish, freshly prepared daily. Sourcing our eggs and dairy from Reedsville, all our breads and specialty Challah bread for our french toast from Greenville, are just a few examples of how we try to source locally what we are able to.

Specialty coffee/alcoholic beverages:

We offer our signature Bloody-Marys with our own pepper-infused vodka made in-house, which gives it a unique flavor. We also offer a fun variety of seasonal mimosas throughout the year, it changes monthly to keep things interesting!

Breakfast specials:

We do offer our sunrise specials, from 6 a.m.-10 a.m., 6 different delightful breakfast combos at lower prices than we offer on our regular menu.

Fun facts:

One fun fact is that a lot of people ask us why we are called “WeatherVane.” Well, my dad and owner Pat always wanted to be a meteorologist and loves weather, but also loved the crazy ever-changing restaurant industry as well. So, he decided to combine both passions into one and thus became WeatherVane!
