The weekend following last years’ polar vortex, photographer Kimberly Henrickson and a friend took a trip to Door County for some winter exploring. They took advantage of the quiet found in the off season. “A stop at Cave Point is always a must because it feels like a winter wonderland. I can’t believe that moments and places like this are right in our backyard, just calling to be explored and enjoyed,” Henrickson says. “This is why I love living in the Fox Cities—a short drive from so many great adventures.”
