Appleton Public Library cardholders will soon be able to download original local music through FilpSide, a digital music program that launched this fall. 

The goal of the program is to represent the Fox Cities music scene, as well as showcase artists who had their start in the region. Current Fox Cities artists and those with past ties to the area began submitting music on October 1. A variety of musical genres will be represented in the collection, including classical, country, jazz, rap & hip hop, rock and electronic.  

A group of curators including Appleton Public Library staff and community members are reviewing submissions to create a diverse collection showcasing the depth of talent in the Fox Cities. Music is planned for release in December. 

Anyone may stream music from FlipSide via the embedded web player, but an InfoSoup library card in good standing is required to download music.
