This virtual workshop is a place for youth working for social change to develop their stories and practice adapting them to specific audiences in community with other activists. From convincing folks to listen to getting them to join you in action, this workshop has something for everyone, whether you’re just getting started or you’ve been doing this for years! Saturday, January 30th from 2:30-4pm. BIPOC storytellers & activists encouraged to attend at no cost. Includes HeartBrain Writing Journal.

Youth Poetry Workshop & Open Mic

In this 2-part workshop we’ll explore different types of written and oral poetry, compose our own poetry, and close with an Open Mic (all workshop participants encouraged, but not required to participate). Family and friends invited to the Open Mic. Includes HeartBrain Writing Journal. Grades 5-8: Meets Saturdays February 13th and February 27th from Noon-1:30PM. Grades 9-12: Meets Saturdays February 13th and February 27th from 2-3:30PM. Open Mic Saturday, February 27th @ 6:30pm.
