About the Exhibit
The Trout Museum of Art is proud to present important works from the collection of Mr. William Heeter. Bill was born and raised in Appleton, WI. He has had a fascination with cartoons since childhood and this fascination has grown into a collection of animation cels acquired over more than 20 years. The exhibit consists of two important groupings from Mr. Heeter’s collection. The first is works from the movie “Who Framed Roger Rabbit”, an Academy Award winning film from 1988. And, the second grouping is from the work of Chuck Jones, who in a career spanning over 60 years, made over 300 animated films, won 3 Oscars and was honored with an Oscar for Lifetime Achievement.
