Printmaking (Ages 14 – 18)

Learn printmaking from hands-on practice, demonstrations, viewing fine artists’ works, and a crash-course in the history of the art form. This course will explore relief printing through linocuts. In addition to print carving and creating, students will learn the principles of design and how to be a better artist. Skill level: Beginner to Mid. Class meets Wednesday evenings for 8 weeks. Cost: $235 members, $260 non-members.

Modern Artists Summer Camp (Ages 5 – 8)

Have you ever wondered what kind of art will define our current generation? In this class, you will take a look at some of the artists working today from Banksy to Yoyoi Kusama, and then create your own artwork inspired by these contemporary artists. Calligraphy Workshop

In this beginner workshop, participants will learn the finer points and practice the basics of the modern italic style of calligraphy using felt-tip and fountain pens. Learn the alphabet and basic strokes. After guided practice, students will complete at least one artistic piece combining italic lettering and watercolor illumination.
