Xavier Children’s Theatre presents The Emperor’s New Clothes at 7:00 pm on May 17 at the Xavier Fine Arts Theatre, 1600 W. Prospect Avenue in Appleton. The adaptation of the classic Hans Christian Anderson story by Kathryn Schultz Miller is a clever play within a play, told with humor and some audience participation. The production is recommended for students up to sixth grade and promises to be fun for all ages.
Tickets, $6 for adults and $5 for senior citizens and students are available at www.xaviertheatre.com or the Xavier Fine Arts Theatre box office, (920) 733-8840. The box office is open on Wednesdays from noon until 3:00 pm, and one hour before the performance. Please order tickets through the box office if wheelchair seating is needed.
Educators, including home school groups, are invited to contact the box office to get information about school matinees on May 16 & 17.
The audience is invited to stay for a “talkback” in the theatre with the cast and director directly following the production.
