Get an in-depth look into the history of military airplane nose art including how it evolved
from being a practical way to identify aircraft to what soon became a morale boost. This
special evening will highlight more than 30 one-of-a-kind pieces from the Commemorative
Air Force Nose Art Collection on loan from the CAF headquarters in Texas. All but one have
flown in actual WWII combat.

Chris Henry, EAA’s museum program coordinator, will present the historic backgrounds of
each panel including who flew the aircraft from which the panels were taken. This exclusive
presentation will give you a glimpse of what the pilots and their crew faced during their daily
combat missions bringing to life the important stories that need to be told.

Free for EAA Members. $5 for nonmembers.

Parental notice: The gallery contains historical images of aviation nose art that some parents may find unsuitable for younger children.
