The Water’s Edge Artists will once again be presenting a plein air artists exhibition, The Art of Preservation, at the Rahr-West Art Museum. These beautiful paintings are for sale, with proceeds benefiting the Rahr-West Art Museum and local environmental and historic preservation stewardship organizations. Meet the artists at an opening reception on Friday, October 9, 2015 from 5 -7 pm.
Water’s Edge Artists – Painters for Preservation – is an alliance of plein air artists dedicated to artistically recording historic, endangered or threatened places.
The Water’s Edge Artists meet monthly to creatively capture both celebrated and humble environmental or historically significant treasures. The group engages with one another and the public, both as individuals and as a whole, through collaboration with and financial support of local environmental and historic preservation stewardship organizations. Through these joint efforts, WEA endeavors to stimulate awareness of the need to protect and celebrate our unique, precious and essential natural resources and historic places.
