An exhibit of work by Pierre Henri Matisse, the 88-year-old French artist and grandson of the legendary Henri Matisse, is coming to the Feather & Bone Gallery inside the Draw.
Matisse’s “Freedom and Love Tour” will bring an assortment of original works, including oil paintings, cut-outs and lithographs to the Appleton venue for an exhibit running March 18-April 22.
The exhibit is planned as a community art experience and will feature hands-on art projects for children, live music, guest speakers and more.
The Draw, located at 800 S. Lawe St. in the former Riverside Paper Co. building, opened in November as an art and work space and hosts a variety of tenants. Among them is the Feather & Bone Gallery, which will house the Matisse exhibit.
Donations will be accepted at the door to support arts education in the Appleton Area School District.
