The Thrivent Financial Collection of Religious Art is a unique corporate art collection that has received international recognition for its excellence. With a focus on original works on paper and religious subject matter, over 1,100 rich impressions of history and culture from eight centuries of Western art are represented in the collection. The Trout Museum of Art is proud and honored to present 53 objects from this magnificent collection. The exhibit ranges chronologically from a 1504 etching by Abrecht Dürer to a 1981 etching and aquatint print by Marc Chagall. This exhibit is sponsored locally by Thrivent Financial, Dr. Monroe and Sandra Trout, and Wisconsin Public Radio.
