The 2003 Outer Critics Circle Award winner for best musical, “A Man of No Importance” combines the depth and drama of a play with the lyricism and comedy of a musical. Set in 1964 Dublin, it follows bus driver Alfie Byrne, who can only share secrets with his imagined confidante, Oscar Wilde. When he attempts to stage a production of Wilde’s “Salome” in the local church, Alfie faces bigotry and shame over a love “that dare not speak its name,” but is changed by the redemptive power of theater. Price: $15 adults; $8 seniors/students. Tickets are available at Lawrence University Box Office, 920-832-6749. http://www.lawrence.edu/conservatory/box_office/tickets
