The Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra will open the Buttermilk Festival music series in Fond du Lac on Wednesday, June 21. Food concessions will be available beginning at 6:00 p.m. and the concert begins at 7:15 p.m.
Light classics on the program include Hungarian Dances 5, 6 and 7 by Brahms, Rossini’s Overture to The Barber of Seville, and two movements from Aaron Copland’s Rodeo Suite. In a pop vein, the orchestra will play Leonard Bernstein’s Overture to Candide, Selections from Lerner and Loewe’s My Fair Lady, and music from the movie “E.T.” by John Williams.
