This summer only! The unique history of the Brothertown Indians goes back to the 1700’s, when remnants of seven different tribes from the east coast came together to live as Brothers, in an effort to avoid further decimation and relocation. This exhibit, curated by members of the Brothertown Indian Nation, shares the Tribe’s history and culture, and their centuries-long connection to this area. The Brothertown are the 12th tribe currently located in Wisconsin. The exhibit includes crafts, clothing, photos, maps, and medicines. There is an interactive area for all ages. Current issues, activities, and events of this resilient and storied People will also be featured. Don’t miss this remarkable presentation depicting the history and culture of the Brothertown Indian Nation!
