This week, BBR is featuring special guest vocalist Kathy Hammond. Kathy has been a featured BBR vocalist in the past and the band is delighted to welcome her back to sing some classics from the great American songbook. Join BBR on Monday nights for live music that ranges from the music of the big band era to the current, including jazz, blues, swing, Latin, pop, and contemporary. The band plays most Monday nights at Cranky Pat’s in Neenah from 7:30 to 9:00 pm, October through May, with no admission fee, minimum, or cover charge.
Seventeen-member BBR includes many of the Fox Valley’s finest musicians on saxophone, trumpet, trombone, piano, bass, drums, guitar, and occasionally guest vocalists. Kathy is a vocalist and keyboardist for STEEM, and is currently on tour with the holiday show For Kids From 1 To 92. She is also a member of Jazz Central Voices of UWSP in Wausau and formerly taught choir in Winneconne and Waupaca schools and private voice and piano lessons in the Appleton area.
