Did you know that Christmas lights were invented in 1882! Yes!
This month’s presentation, entitled Edison Christmas Lights, will feature Scott Malawski and Robin Rolfs who will share the fun and fascinating early history of something we take for granted… electric Christmas lights. The presentation will feature an unparalleled collection of very early holiday lighting. It will also highlight a direct – and little known – connection between Hearthstone and the very first electric Christmas lights.
Tickets are $10 and include Hearthstone’s Victorian Christmas: 1882 evening open house (see details above) which begins at 6:00 pm. Tickets are limited. Advanced ticket purchase is strongly recommended as the evening events sell out quickly.
