The triathlon is now USAT sanctioned!
Mid July is an ideal time to accept a slightly longer challenge! The 10th Annual Winnebago County Triathlon offers triathletes an Olympic distance for those who want to graduate from a Sprint. Lake Winneconne offers warm water and a beautiful view. The spacious park is easy to access and has plenty of parking.
DISTANCES
Olympic: 3/4 mile swim, 28.5 mile bike, 6.2 mile run
Sprint: 1/4 mile swim, 15 mile bike, 3.1 mile run
THE COURSE
Swim Course
Swim will be in Lake Winneconne in a triagle shape. Buoys will serve as a guide line to the finish. Average water temperature is 73 degrees.
Bike Course
The bike course goes out along the lake at first. It then heads north and east on quiet country roads. There are a few small hills. Roads are well paved. Elevation map is posted.
Run Course
Run goes through a residential area in Winneconne then heads out onto quiet, country roads and back. Flat and fast course.
PERKS
We provide technically sound, safe, and exciting events. Participants receive a
dri wick shirt, swim cap, food and fun after the event.
AWARDS
Awards given to the overall male/female and traditional age divisions.
This event is part of the Aurora BayCare Series which offers additional prizes.
