Join us for a one-of-a-kind presentation by Frank Koffend, renown sports fishing authority. Frank will regale the audience with stories of sport fishing from ancient times (think Anthony and Cleopatra) through the immortal Treaties on Fishing written by Juliana Berners in 1496 (Hearthstone’s exhibit features a 1880s copy of this first “How To” fishing book) to today. Mr. Koffend’s presentation will feature fishing stories and fun facts that anglers of all ages will appreciate.
Tickets to the presentation include viewing the exhibits of vintage creels, lures, and early fly rods in the “Caught in the Current” exhibition.
Mr. Koffend is a lifetime collector of early fishing artifacts and his collection forms the basis of the Hearthstone exhibits. He has contributed to books including The American Rowboat Motor and 19th Century Fishing Lures. He is a charter member of the National Fishing Lure Collector Club. Tickets are available online at www.hearthstonemuseum.org > Events
PLEASE NOTE: ONLY 20 TICKETS WILL BE SOLD TO THIS EVENT.
