Spencer Tracy plays the legendary Lt. Col. James P. Doolittle, in this classic wartime telling of the historic bombing raid over Tokyo. Considered to be the most realistic movie depiction of the raid, the film also stars Van Johnson, Robert Walker, Phyllis Thaxter, and a host of beautiful B-25s. The movie also won an Academy Award in 1945 for its special effects and was nominated for best cinematography.
