Grand Opening Celebration! The Museum is thrilled to unveil the new People of the Waters exhibition! This incredible state-of-the-art permanent exhibit is the result of many years of research and development, and over a year of construction. Step inside this immersive, interactive exhibit and explore the richness of prehistoric and early life in Oshkosh and the surrounding region that spans 13,000 years. The key storyline and interpretive elements of this cutting edge experience focus on the study of the Ice Age, Native American cultures, and the impact of the Fur Trade. The official ribbon cutting ceremony starts at 10:00 am, marked with an introduction and gallery walk led by Museum Director Brad Larson. Guided tours through the new exhibit are being offered hourly from 12:00–3:00 pm. This event is free with general admission.
