The 31st Missoula Children’s Theatre (MCT) open audition is set to begin on Monday, June 18 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and the Thrasher Opera House is inviting all area students in 1st through 12th grade to participate. This year’s production is PRINCESS AND THE PEA, a musical adaptation of the beloved children’s fairytale.
After the two-hour group audition, approximately 50-60 students will be cast to appear in the show with the MCT Tour Actor/Directors. Because of costume limitations, there is no guarantee that everyone who auditions will be cast in the play. In addition, 4-6 assistant directors are selected to help teach and direct the show early in the week and take on technical responsibilities at performance time.
No advance preparation is necessary for the group audition, but a smile never hurts. Students should just be ready to come and have a good time!
