Mark your calendars for January 18, 2016! Join fellow community members – including Lawrence University students – to honor Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy by volunteering at Riverview Gardens’ urban farm on January, 18, 2016, from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. If you have already attended a volunteer orientation, just show up at the farm anytime during the day. Whether you volunteer for an hour or all day, please join us for this fun and engaging opportunity! If you have not previously attended a volunteer orientation, you can attend one during regularly-schedule orientations listed on the right-side panel above. Special orientations are scheduled for 9 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on January 18. No need to RSVP – just show up! All MLK Day activities and orientations take place at the farm workshop, 242 W. Seymour Street. Appleton, WI 54915.

Further celebrate Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy by joining us for a Music-For-All Concert on Monday, January 18 at 4 p.m. at the Riverview Gardens Community Center, 1101 S. Oneida Street, Appleton. This concert is presented by New York-based Decoda Chamber Group and Lawrence University Conservatory of Music and features both students and faculty in an interactive, engaging setting. Light refreshments are provided by Stone Cellar. The concert is casual, free and open to all ages. Come as you are!

If you plan to attend the concert, please RSVP to [email protected] by January, 13, 2016. For questions regarding MLK Day activities, please contact Kelly Nutty at [email protected].
