Event Calendar

The Lawrence Symphonic Band presents “Awakening,” an evening of music that stimulates and emotions. The program features masterworks from 1736 to the present, including Morton Gould’s Symphony No. 4 “West Point Symphony,” commemorating the military academy’s 150-year anniversary; John Mackey’s “Aurora Awakes”; Malcolm Arnold’s “Prelude, Siciliano and Rondo”; Frank Ticheli’s “San Antonio Dances”; and J.S Bach’s chorale prelude “Come, Sweet Death.” Free and open to the public.
