Lawrence University, the Appleton Public Library, Casa Hispana and the History Museum at the Castle open a series of Latin-themed community events with a screening of “Foreigners in Their Own Land (1565-1880),” Part One of the award-winning PBS documentary series “Latino Americans.” The documentary chronicles 500 years of Latinos in the United States through its characters’ experiences. Lawrence historian Jake Frederick will lead an audience-based discussion following the screening. Free.
