The Academy’s musical theatre workshops teach middle and high school students how to improve their audition and performance technique. Classes each day will cover good singing technique, healthy belting, picking songs, acting the story of the song, bringing the song to life, research tools, knowing your type, and musical theatre movement/dance. Students will have group classes as well as individual coaching and will be guided to prepare for the workshop in advance. The week culminates with a showcase on Friday afternoon that is free and open to the public. Enrollment is limited to 20 students per level.
ELIGIBILITY: middle school students (grades 6-8) with any level of musical theatre experience and high school students (grades 9-12) with no prior experience
