Come to UW-Green Bay campus for the 2018 Kwanzaa Celebration, Saturday, Dec. 8 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Phoenix Room of the University Union.
Kwanzaa is an African-American celebration based on the tradition of the African harvest festival emphasizing community and cultural pride. Enjoy music, dancing and food and learning about the holiday’s origins, rites and symbols. This year’s celebration focuses on Umoja principle, which is Unity. The guest keynote speaker is Dr. Eddie Moore, Jr. who will share his story of unity.
This is a free, public event with an authentic African cuisine and southern food and refreshments will be provided while supplies last.
