You are invited to the National Railroad Museum for a seasonal educational event, featuring activities to make your holiday jolly.
Holidays on the Rails is ideal for children in pre-K through 2nd grade to share in the magic of the season. We explore the decorated trees, the big trains, listen to stories, play games, do crafts, decorate cookies, take a train ride, and visit with Santa.
Visitors move between numerous activity stations, each featuring interactive, hands-on holiday experiences. Plan for about 90 minutes to experience all the activities including the train ride.
Activities from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Train rides (25 min. approx.) are 9:15, 10:00 OR 11:00 a.m. for morning guests; and 12:00 OR 1:00 p.m. for afternoon guests. Also Thursday, December 7 from 4:30 – 8:00 p.m. with train rides at 5:00, 6:00 OR 7:00 p.m.
Tickets are sold in packets of two ($10) or three ($15) persons. Please note: if you have a group of more than 6 people, please contact Bob Lettenberger, Education Department, to arrange for a group reservation and to check availability.
