Giants of Jazz: Thelonious Monk
In partnership with Lawrence University, the Neenah Public Library is excited to announce the “Giants of Jazz” series. Join us Sunday, October 7th, at 2:00pm in the library’s Shattuck Room as we kick off the series with a celebration of the work of pianist and prolific composer Thelonious Monk. A quartet of Lawrence students will offer an introductory performance highlighting a selection of Monk standards and offer an insight into the life of the enigmatic legend.
