In collaboration with the Fond du Lac High School, attend our jazz night with the Eric Jacobson Quartet!
As a performer, teacher and clinician Eric Jacobson is in high demand. Eric has performed with Grammy Award Winners Phil Woods, Benny Golson, Brian Lynch, Tito Puente Jr. and Eric Benet. Eric has had the privilege to perform and study with well known jazz artists such as: David Hazeltine, Joe Farnsworth, Jim Rotondi, Tim Hagans,Willie Thomas, Slide Hampton, Maynard Ferguson, Doc Severinsen. Eric studied trumpet under the infamous Johnny Hemkes throughout his High School years in Racine, WI.

Eric toured the world in 2010-2013 with Milwaukee’s local soul band “Kings Go Forth” but now stays a bit closer to home and is a top call trumpeter for high profile gigs in Milwaukee, Madison, and Chicago. He recently performed in the windy city at the Green Mill with the Chicago Yestet and at Andy’s Jazz Club with the Chicago Jazz Orchestra and We Six. He frequently plays with the popular Milwaukee-based Latin band De la Buena.

Since 2010, he has been the trumpeter with the Conservatory’s resident jazz sextet We Six, providing fiery solos and contributing arrangements and original compositions to the band’s repertoire. Eric has also been busy in the recording studio. He recently recorded for Johannes Wallmann “The Sweet Minute Big Band” and Willy Porter’s CD Human Kindness. Watch for Eric’s latest CD as a leader, Discover, to be released under Brian Lynch’s jazz label Holistic MusicWorks.

“Eric is the real deal! – a truly world class jazz trumpeter with a gift to inspire, motivate and teach students of all ages with dramatic results. By sharing his own passion for the music with his students, he instills that “fire in the belly” that makes great musicians; and in instilling a love of practice and a robust work ethic, he equips his students with the tools to excel for a lifetime. And most important, he provides a compelling example of excellence for his students by his own brilliant playing.
