A kickoff presentation at 1 p.m. that unveils a weeklong exhibit of artwork by Apollo 12 astronaut Alan Bean and the display of a Mercury space capsule replica that is open to the public to climb inside. Also from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. the museum hosts a car show featuring Chevrolet Corvettes, the preferred car of NASA astronauts during the 1960s.
