(Brown County, WI) County Executive Troy Streckenbach will announce his 2016 budget plans for a southern bridge in Brown County and additional investments in the county highway system.
After giving an update to the Greater Green Bay Chamber’s Public Policy Committee, the County Executive, along with the Chamber’s Director of Government Affairs and the Mayor of De Pere will provide brief remarks regarding the development of a southern bridge in Brown County. Accessibility to Interstates 41 and 43 is necessary for area businesses to continue developing their transportation networks. A bridge that crosses the Fox River in southern Brown County can be a solution to providing greater access.
In addition, Brown County has historically been a hub of transportation, logistics, and product distribution and a strong road system is essential to continued growth of the local economy. The County Executive will announce plans to increase the Brown County road rating from 30% poor/fair to 100% fair/good.
The event will promptly start at 9:15am on Friday, the 18th at the Greater Green Bay Chamber of Commerce.
