A Conversation about Dyslexia: The who, what, where, when, and why – and what to do about it
“A Conversation about Dyslexia” will be held on Monday, October 29, 6:30 p.m. at the Neenah Public Library. Susan Garcia Franz, a parent of a child with dyslexia, will present some of the basics about dyslexia and share her experience and journey as a parent of a dyslexic child.
Susan is a member of Decoding Dyslexia – Wisconsin and the Winnebago County Chapter of Decoding Dyslexia – Wisconsin. Decoding Dyslexia has chapters in 50 states, 4 Canadian Provinces and is growing internationally. Decoding Dyslexia – Wisconsin is working to raise awareness, empower families to support their children, and inform legislators about best practices to identify, educate, and support students struggling with reading in Wisconsin. Decoding Dyslexia – Wisconsin is diverse group that includes parents, researchers, educators, pediatricians, speech pathologists, and legislators.
