Chaminade Women’s Chorus will be presenting a Jazz/Swing Concert at the Dairyland Brew Pub, 1216 E. Wisconsin Avenue, Appleton, WI, as a part of the Pub’s “Giving Thanks” Jazzfest, on Saturday, November 24, at 4 pm.
Kristin Sponcia, with a degree of Doctor of Musical Arts in Jazz Performance, will be the special guest for the concert. The chorus will perform a variety of jazz/swing music, including favorites, such as “Begin the Beguine,” “Chattanooga Choo Choo,” “Route 66,” and “Java Jive,” along with other songs from the 1930’s and 1940’s.
Admission is free for the concert, and donations will be appreciated. Patrons are encouraged to bring a basic needs item (personal care or cleaning supplies) to contribute to the annual holiday drive for Compassionate Home Health Care Inc.
