As part of the community program “Latino Americans: 500 Years of History,” the concert celebrates various genres of Latino-American music, including Brazilian Bossa Nova, Cuban Rumba-Son and Argentine Tango. Lawrence conservatory faculty members will perform featured pieces by Roberto Sierra, Astor Piazzolla, and José Bragato, among others. The concert is a collaboration between Lawrence, the Appleton Public Library, Casa Hispana and the History Museum at the Castle. Free and open to the public.
