Rejoice in the simplicity of the season! Gather with The Bridge-Between community to celebrate an old fashioned 1890s Christmas season. The day will start as you enjoy the outdoors on the farm, walk through the trails, scout for some pinecones and other natural items to use for your Christmas decorations. Bring your treasures into our 1890s Granary where, in the comforting warmth of a wood stove, you can join in making handmade ornaments for your trees (or for the birds to enjoy!). Everyone can participate in stringing popcorn for the trees, and making paper and natural ornaments similar to what would have been made in the 1890s. From there, we will move to a bonfire where we will enjoy some Christmas carols. We are excited to host members of the University of Wisconsin – Green Bay Chorale who will perform some beautiful music for us!
We will string the trees with the popcorn garland to feed the birds, and then the day will finish with some seasonal readings accompanied by hot cocoa or apple cider and home-baked holiday goodies in the toasty Farmhouse. December 10, 1:00 – 4:00pm.
