WHEN LIFE GIVES YOU MORE THAN LEMONS
Join us on Monday, December 7th at 2 p.m. for the adult afternoon program, When Life Gives You More Than Lemons, with Ms. Wheelchair America, 2015, Samantha Schroth at the Neenah Public Library.
You’ve likely heard it said that when life gives you lemons, make lemonade. Yet sometimes, it feels like life hands out a lot more than just a few sour lemons. Samantha Schroth, a 23-year old Appleton native experienced this simple truth in an unimaginable way. After graduating in three years from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities with plans to attend Veterinary School in the fall of 2013, Sam incurred a spinal cord injury in a freak accident that summer. Although now a paraplegic and wheelchair user, Sam doesn’t let much get in her way. Sam has served as Ms. Wheelchair Wisconsin 2014 and was crowned Ms. Wheelchair America 2015 in Long Beach, CA where she began a year traveling around the country educating and advocating for others with disabilities. Come listen and be inspired as she shares her story of resiliency in times of struggle and be challenged in your own perceptions of the abilities of a person with a disability.
