Do you want to start a rain garden? How about a butterfly garden? Or do you merely want to integrate native plants into your existing landscaping. Come to the annual native plant sale at the WILD Center. Knowledgeable people will be on-hand to answer questions about the plants, transplanting and maintaining them.
Native prairie, woodland, wet mesic plants, and Red and Bur Oak seedlings are for sale. The native plants featured are high quality nursery-propagated forbs, grasses, ferns and vines in 4-inch pots, 1- to 2-year growth. The Red and Bur oaks are bare-root seedlings.
Wild Ones continues its efforts to save America’s favorite butterfly, along with other pollinators, through the Wild for Monarchs campaign. Through their spring native plant sale, they encourage everyone to buy and plant more milkweed (host plant for monarchs) and more nectar plants (food sources for pollinators).
