The Fox River Valley is a wintering site for hundreds of eagles. This was not the case not so long ago due to DDT and other contaminants. The first wintering eagle along the Fox was observed in 1982 and since that time the number of wintering and resident eagles has increased tremendously. The Neenah Public Library will be celebrating Eagle Days Along the Fox with the following programs:
10:00 am: Preserving Our Watersheds with Kelly Reyer, Fox-Wolf Watershed Alliance
11:30 am: Sturgeon Success Story with Ryan Koenigs, DNR Sturgeon Biologist
1:00 pm: Invaders Lurking in Our Waterways with Chris Acy, AIS Coordinator, Fox-Wolf Watershed Alliance.
