Walleye Weekend is a long-standing tradition in the Fond du Lac community, celebrating 48 years this year. Taking place the second weekend in June, this weekend is a three day celebration of our community’s culture that was built around a fishing tournament, now the Mercury National Walleye Tournament. Walleye Weekend offers something for everyone including live music for three days on three stages, free family fun, sports tournaments and competitions, art contests, and loads of free shows and entertainment, all at Lakeside Park in Fond du Lac. The beating heart of this weekend is our community, from the hundreds of volunteers who come out to serve, to anyone who comes out to support the event or just have fun. Through these high levels of community engagement, Walleye Weekend has cemented itself as the official “start of the summer”!
