Best Burger
“Home Burger Bar is amazing! They have a very unique menu and there is always something new to try. The burgers are perfect every time and never dry or bland. I usually go with the mushroom and swiss burger, but sometimes I’ll treat myself to the Badger Burger which is everything that is great about Wisconsin on a bun.” – Ashley Ziolkowski, Appleton
Best Sushi
“I grew up on the East Coast, so I’m particular when it comes to seafood, and I think Katsu-Ya has some of the best tasting and freshest sushi/seafood in the area. I really enjoy the variety and creativity of the sushi and sashimi they have to offer; from small and traditional, to the specialty and exotic, there’s something for everyone’s taste. I’m particularly fond of the rainbow roll, geisha’s kiss, big in Japan, veggie curry and spicy shrimp tempura.” – Shandra L. Stevenson, Appleton

How Carmella’s and SAP keep winning is absolutely beyond me. Overpriced, loud, incredibly condescending servers… I guess I don’t travel in the right circles.
Agreed! I have never had a particularly amazing experience at either! More enjoyable, less crowded, less expensive options abound!
Agree. Appleton needs more homespun restaurants that are upscale and use fresh ingredients.
Houdini’s Escape won 5 awards last year, and this year they were not even runner up. Wonder what happened there?
