Fundraiser for Wisconsin Veterans Village on Saturday, November 8 at Tanners Grill & Bar, 730 S. Railroad St, Kimberly, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. This patriotic event consists of liv entertainment, over 300 raffle baskets, 50/50 drawing, $10 lunch, bake sale, gun raffle, live auction and much more. Veterans Village, located at 2919 W Glenpark Drive in Appleton, is an affordable housing complex for veterans from Brown, Calumet, Outagamie, Waupaca and Winnebago Counties. It’s a first-of-a-kind village that includes a 48- apartment building providing reasonable rent, help with claiming benefits, community support, and a community for veterans and their families throughout their lifespan .Veterans are directed to career counseling, financial, health, and human services support from existing community resources.
