Presentation on Food Noise at the Neenah Public Library

Details

The Women’s Health Empowerment series returns to the Neenah Public Library on the third Monday of each month. This series focuses on topics concerning women’s health, including changes a female’s body undergoes during perimenopause and menopause. Everyone is welcome to participate and learn from both the experts and each other.

The first workshop on September 21 at 6:30 pm will discuss the connection between eating habits and lifestyle with Katelyn DeWitt, an integrative nutritional health coach. Food noise refers to those constant, intrusive thoughts regarding cravings, meals, or the act of eating itself. This chatter often arises from various external factors, including stress, low self-esteem, personal issues, and the influence of diet culture. Katelyn will explain the concept of food noise, share techniques to silence one’s inner critic, and explore how one’s relationship with food may mirror early childhood experiences.

This is a free event held at the Neenah Public Library; no registration is necessary.
