Sunrise is a special part of Ken Kemper’s morning, walking his German shepherd/lab mix early nearly every day. But on November 4, he switched it up.
“Rather than the usual route, I decided to take in the sunrise where I could get either church steeples or perhaps the main buildings of Lawrence University in a few photos,” he remembers. “I could see a high cloud deck moving into the Fox Cities and I thought there might be some decent color with the dawn. I was about a block to the NW of the building and was watching the red/pink hue of the clouds deepen immediately… it was beautiful.”
