For our Editorial Intern, Alaina Kaus, “The holidays wouldn’t be the same without Brandy Slush!” She’s not sure how long this cocktail has been a part of family tradition, but, she says, “It’s from my Mom’s family. She remembers having them every year growing up.” Her family sips this favorite beverage while sharing gifts after attending Christmas Eve church service.
Place tea bags in 1 cup boiling water and let brew. Meanwhile, boil 3 1/2 cups water with 1 cup sugar. Add brewed tea to sugar water, let cool to room temperature. Stir in orange juice and lemonade concentrates and brandy. Pour into a freezer-safe, lidded container and freeze until slushy (at least 24 hrs.) Scoop slush into cocktail glasses and fill with soda. Garnish with cherries. Enjoy!
