After 50 years leading the Badger Band, Mike Leckrone has passed the baton to Associate Director of Bands, Dr. Corey Pompey. If you have seen Pompey’s energy directing the UW Band at Camp Randall Stadium or Lambeau Field this fall…or even at the Rose Bowl on New Year’s Day, you know entertaining fans is Pompey’s number one mission. You should be prepared for a refreshed song selection as Pompey says, “Yeah, we have different tastes in music but our tastes overlap a little bit.”
