Do you uke? Would you like to learn? Neenah Public Library to hold free ukulele classes

The Neenah Public Library will offer free 8-week group ukulele classes for beginning ukulele players and for those who need a refresher with playing chords, strumming, and picking. Taught by musician, Lawrence University student, and native Hawaiian, Sam ‘Ālika Bader. All ages are welcome.
Classes begin on Thursday, March 29 and run through May 17, 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. in the Library’s Storytime Room. Bring your own ukulele or reserve one of the Library’s own ukuleles. (An extra loaner ukulele is also available for use during classes.) For more information, contact the Neenah Public Library Adult Services Department at 920-886-6315.
No registration required. Attend a couple of the classes or attend all eight. Classes are free and open to any interested ukulele players and would-be players. All ages welcome.
A ukulele open jam follows each Thursday night class. Open to anyone interested in playing with other ukulele players. Bring your own ukulele – banjoleles and guitars welcome, too. Music provided – or bring a piece you’d like to share with others. The open jams are held from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m.
